Client Context
The property development and marketing subsidiary of Intrawest was in the midst of a phase of aggressive growth in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, when it first turned to CAPRESE for support, initially to provide executive coaching for members of its EMEA leadership team, in particular the CFO and the directors of Human Resources and Sales and Marketing. Additionally the Marketing department was experiencing some challenges with the group dynamics of its Mauritius Sales team.
CAPRESE Approach
Coaching sessions were typically organised off the Playground premises, providing a safer context for individuals to explore their professional concerns, which could nevertheless become quite emotional. To support the Mauritius Sales team, CAPRESE designed a 5-day team-building programme, which included individual coaching sessions on personality assessment tools such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Belbin Team Roles Self Perception Inventory.
Results
Thanks to CAPRESE’s ongoing support, Playground’s EMEA leadership team were able to manage the company’s business, despite facing even greater challenges from corporate headquarters, including the acquisition of Intrawest by an investment fund, which demanded immediate economic return on its investment, despite the actual business context.
