Way of Life

From choosing your fish in the harbour to flamenco dancing during a village festival, the region around Garrucha, Vera, and Mojacar is picturesque and retains much of its historical and traditional charm.

Getting Around

If you have a car, take the motorway South towards Almeria, North towards Alicante or the new road to Cartagena. To really appreciate the region, try the smaller roads, like the one from Sorbas to Nijar, or the coast road from Mojacar to Carboneras.

Local bus services, run by Baraza, will take you to Mojacar, Vera, Garrucha, Villaricos and Carboneras.
